1. How do I get a copy of a report and does it cost anything?

Incident reports and Accident reports are $1.00. Reports are available for release 48 hours after the incident/accident. Supervisor approval is required before releasing incidents reports, so if possible, please call ahead. Office hours for Records Department are 7:00-3:00 Monday through Wednesday.

2. If I have been given a ticket, do I have to go to court?

Call the Miami Municipal Court Clerk at (918) 541-2358.

3. How do I pay a traffic fine?

Come by the City of Miami Municipal building located at 129 Fifth Ave. N.W., Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Pay the fines at the Municipal Court office or pick up a pay envelope from the lobby and once the information is completed place the envelope with the payment in the secured metal box.

4. How do I get a records check or get fingerprinted for a new job or other reasons?

Our fingerprinting fee is $5.00 and you must supply the fingerprint card, but call first to make sure someone is available to take them. Ottawa County Sheriff's Office also provides this service.

5. How do I get a license to carry a concealed weapon?

Go by the local Sheriff Department’s Office or go to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation webpage at http://www.ok.gov/osbi/Handgun_Licensing/ for more information.

6. How do I know when and where do I go to court?

The center portion of your ticket has a court appearance section that will have a date filled in by the officer. The court address is listed directly under the court date. If the officer has directed you to “State” court, he/she will note in the address portion the address of the Ottawa County Courthouse; otherwise, all municipal citations will be slated in Municipal Court at 129 Fifth Ave. N.W. (The Miami Civic Center).
