Nestlé Purina PetCare marked a significant milestone as Purina leaders officially welcomed the Miami manufacturing facility into the Purina network. The addition of the Miami factory is a pivotal step, now totaling 22 Purina-owned and operated facilities nationwide. This expansion enhances in-house capabilities for innovative dog and cat treat brands, many of which will now be exclusively produced at the facility in Miami.

The event welcomed Purina associates, leaders, and leaders from the City of Miami. Remarks were provided by key Purina leaders, including Nina Leigh Krueger, Chief Executive Officer; Andrea Faccio, President and Chief Growth Officer; Nolan Terry, Chief Technical Officer; and Pat Masching, VP of Manufacturing. Miami Mayor Bless Parker attended the celebration and also shared remarks.

“Today marks not only the addition of a facility but also a testament to Purina’s commitment to advancing pet nutrition. Our Miami facility joins a network of excellence, and we are excited to welcome the Miami associates to the Purina family,” said Nolan Terry, Chief Technical Officer at Purina.

Purina further demonstrated its commitment by presenting a $10,000 donation to the Miami Ketcher/Keheley Animal Shelter. This contribution aims to support their efforts in ensuring the safety of pets and finding them loving homes.

“One of the things I love most about our company is the work we do to bring and keep pets and people together. It’s foundational to who we are, and it guides how we engage the communities we call home,” said Nina Leigh Krueger, Chief Executive Officer.

Miami is joining the Purina network at a crucial time; the facility aligns with Purina’s record growth and capital investment initiatives. Currently, two dry food factories are under construction in Eden, North Carolina, and Williamsburg Township, Ohio, slated to open in early 2024 and 2025, respectively. Between 2020 and 2025, Purina is investing more than $2 Billion in factory expansions, new construction and acquisitions, creating more than 850 new jobs in the process.
