This year’s event will also include a special children’s play presented by Miami Little Theatre at 10 a.m. and the movie “Bullitt,” starring Steve McQueen, at 1 p.m. Admission to both events is free.
Miami Little Theatre will conclude its summer Youth on Stage program with a performance of “Story Stew: A Fairy Tale Revue.”
You know the story of the old woman who lived in a shoe and had so many children she didn't know what to do. But, did you know that her children are Jack, Jill, Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, Hansel, Gretel and that lamb-loving Mary? Joining this energetic romp through the enchanted forest are Little Miss Muffett, the Big Bad Wolf, the Gingerbread Man, Puss 'N Boots and more of your fairy tale favorites.
In this comedy written by Stacey Lane, all of the family's food vanishes, leaving the cupboard bare. Old Mother Hubbard and her children think things couldn't possibly get worse when along comes a wolf looking for pigs and he huffs and puffs and blows their house down. Homeless and hungry, our young heroes set out on a quest to save their family -- or at least find a snack.
In the movie “Bullitt,” Sen. Walter Chalmers (Robert Vaughn) is aiming to take down mob boss Pete Ross (Vic Tayback) with the help of testimony from the criminal's hothead brother Johnny (Pat Renella), who is in protective custody in San Francisco under the watch of police lieutenant Frank Bullitt (McQueen).
When a pair of mob hitmen enter the scene, Bullitt follows their trail through a maze of complications and double-crosses. This thriller includes one of the most famous car chases ever filmed.
