69 – 13.2 kV Substation Addition, 
Substation No. 2, Miami, OK (C19-38A)

The Miami Special Utility Authority of the City of Miami, Oklahoma (MSUA) will receive bids until 2:00 p.m., local time, Aug. 29th, 2019, at the office of the Purchasing Agent, where all bids will be publicly opened and all bid prices read aloud for furnishing all materials, equipment, services, and labor for "69 – 13.2 kV Substation Addition, Substation No. 2, Miami, Oklahoma – 2019-2020 (C19-38A)"

A pre-Bid conference be held on August 20, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. on the Substation 2 site.

The work is briefly described as follows:

1. Construct 69 – 13.2 kV substation addition including steel structures, bus work, circuit switchers, disconnect switches, isolation switches, vault, foundations, fence, grounding, rock surfacing and all other components necessary for a complete installation.
2. Make HV, LV, control wire, and grounding connections to two (2) Owner-furnished 15//28 MVA 69 – 13.2 kV power transformers.

3. Install Owner-furnished outdoor 15 kV circuit breakers (14 each).

4. Install LV AC power and DC control wiring from circuit breakers, power transformers, and instrument transformers to relay panel termination cabinet supplied with Owner-furnished pre-fabricated control building. Install LV AC power from lighting and other yard equipment to control building AC system.

5. Install six (6) underground feeder exits with 3 – 750 kCM Copper URD cables. Feeder exit construction also includes directional boring, riser pole construction, and all cable terminations.

6. Other construction as specified in the bidding documents.

7. Removals and other miscellaneous work as shown on the Drawings.

Envelopes containing the bids shall be sealed and must be accompanied by a bid security as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The security shall be made payable to the Purchasing Agent, Miami, Oklahoma, as security that the bidder to whom the award is made will enter into a contract to furnish the equipment bid upon and furnish the required bond. The envelope containing the bid and security shall be marked as follows:

The successful bidder(s) shall supply the following Bonds, each executed by a corporate surety licensed in the State of Oklahoma in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price as part of his contract: a Performance Bond, a Statutory (Payment) Bond, and a Maintenance Bond.

The MSUA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in bids submitted.

Any bids received after the time set for the opening of bids, shall not be considered by the awarding authority, and shall be returned unopened to the proposer submitting same.
