INVITATION TO BID
FURNISHING OF 1 OR 2 SELF-CONTAINED DUAL SOURCE
3-PHASE PAD MOUNTED AUTOMATIC CIRCUIT TRANSFER SWITCHES (C19-24)
The Miami Special Utility Authority of the City of Miami, Oklahoma (MSUA) will receive bids until 3:30 p.m., local time, Tuesday, June 18th, 2019, at the office of the Purchasing Agent, where all bids will be publicly opened and all bid prices read aloud for furnishing all materials, equipment, services, and labor for the furnishing of "One (1) or two (2) self-contained dual source 3-phase pad-mounted automatic circuit transfer switches (C19-24)"
The work is briefly described as follows:
Self-contained pad mounted 3-phase automatic circuit transfer switch with a “hot” primary and a “hot” secondary source that will switch from primary to secondary in case of the primary loss. Under normal operating conditions, the primary source is closed feeding the critical circuit; and the secondary source is open with its associated circuit available as a standby.
The source-transfer control monitors the condition of both power sources and initiates automatic switching when the primary source voltage has been lost, or reduced to a predetermined level, for a period of time sufficient to confirm that the loss is not transient. The switch associated with the primary source is automatically opened and the secondary source is closed. When the primary power is restored for a time the switch will transfer back without a loss of power.
The transfer switches must consider the project manager’s theory of operation and be built to the specifications provided within bid packet C19-24.
Switches shall be shipped F.O.B. foundation, freight allowed, to Miami, Oklahoma. Pricing to include transportation to the site, off-loading to the foundation, assembly of all details removed for shipment, and pre-energization testing.
No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days after the date fixed for bid opening, except as otherwise permitted by law. Only firm (non-escalating) bids will be allowed.
A packet may also be downloaded HERE.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

The security shall be made payable to the City Clerk, Miami, OK, as security that the bidder to whom the award is made will enter into a contract to furnish the equipment bid upon and furnish the required bond.
